RVE provides bridge and structural engineering and National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) condition inspection services for federal, state, county, agency and municipal owned bridges and culverts. RVE’s engineering capabilities range from bridge rehabilitation to complete replacements in accordance with DOT, AASHTO and agency standards. We review site constraints, initial costs and maintenance costs to arrive at a suitable structure that fits the needs of our clients. RVE’s NBIS condition inspections range from routine biennial inventory inspections to in-depth, emergency inspections. Inspection evaluations include ratings of substructure and superstructure components, scour ratings and priority repair recommendations. Our inspection work is performed under the direction of registered professional engineers certified by the FHWA.
