Municipal engineers design projects that improve the quality of life for those in the communities they serve. J.C. Remington, an early visionary in the industry, formed what is now RVE with the mission to deliver excellent client service by solving challenges faced by local municipalities. Over the last 120 years, we have built on that legacy and broadened our commitment: more than 150 professional and technical staff deliver projects in collaboration with more than 250 client partners, some of whom have been with us since the early 1900s. We serve as Engineer of Record to Municipalities, Engineer and Planner to Municipalities and their Planning, Zoning and/or Land Use Boards, Board Consultant and Floodplain Manager. Our team members include professional engineers, professional planners (AICP), licensed surveyors, GIS professionals, certified flood plain managers, environmental engineers and construction managers and inspectors. Our full-service staff provides the complete breadth and depth of consulting services including professional design, planning and construction services for infrastructure capital improvements; environmental remediation; utilities collection and distribution; treatment design; public facility additions and renovations; park and recreation improvements; redevelopment and master planning projects. We also identify, pursue, and obtain grant funding for municipal projects through our inhouse grants department.
Our professional staff includes experts in the major areas of engineering required to support capital facilities and infrastructure improvements, land use planning and redevelopment, tax map maintenance, GIS database, environmental support services, resident engineering, construction inspection, owner’s representation, program management, technical and administrative support services.
RVE has grown to more than 450 employees in offices throughout the middle and south Atlantic regions of the United States. Get in touch today to find out about our services or career opportunities.
