In 2008 and 2015, Collingswood Borough tasked RVE with the design and construction oversight of renovations to the 25-meter pool and playground improvements, respectively. Both projects were completed successfully on-time and within contract budget. In 2016, RVE was challenged with a task three-fold: Complete the balance of the complex renovations by June of 2017, including renovations to the 50-meter Pool, replacement of the toddler pool, replacement of the bathroom/concession stand, and pedestrian and traffic calming improvements to adjacent intersections. During an eight-month span from October 2016 through May 2017, RVE managed three separate general contractors, under four independent contracts and was able to fulfill the Borough’s goal to open the entire Pool Complex by the start of summer in June. All projects were completed within budget. Over 800 residents enjoyed the new facilities on the opening day. The new toddler pool was a hit, featuring a walk-in entrance, shade structures, splash feature, and two custom water slides. All areas have been updated for ADA access. According to the Borough Water Superintendent, the project will save the Borough about five million gallons per year in unaccounted for water.
