Harrison Township held a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new bicycle and pedestrian path which was recently constructed along Colson Lane and Walters Road. The new path is approximately one-half mile in length and was made possible by funding RVE helped secure through a $280,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Division of Local Aid. RVE also provided survey, engineering design, bidding, contract administration and bidding services for the project.
Mayor Lou Manzo, Deputy Mayor Julie DeLaurentis and members of the Harrison Township Committee along with RVE’s Project Manager, Dennis McNulty, PE, and local residents were in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony held on November 16, 2022.
The project provides a safe and efficient community link for bicycles, pedestrians and other non-vehicular traffic to the William Wilt Soccer Complex located along Walters Road and connects to an existing walking path located inside the regional recreation complex.
