RVE has been appointed the Stormwater Engineer to the Warminster Municipal Authority. Vanessa Nedrick, PE, MSEM will serve as the Stormwater Engineer to the Authority. She is assisting with the transition of the Authority’s recent purchase of the stormwater system from Warminster Township. She will be responsible for GIS mapping, MS4 activities, permitting, and compliance, stormwater capital improvements, drainage issues, as well as any other assignments at the discretion of the authority manager for the year 2021. Ms. Nedrick has more than 20 years of water, stormwater and sanitary sewer engineering experience; she began her career with the Philadelphia Water Department. Ms. Nedrick currently is responsible for managing the firm’s operations out of our Bucks County office.
RVE has successfully managed the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program many clients over the last decade and we are very familiar with state statutes and requirements. In addition, we have excellent relationships with the PADEP and have achieved positive results for our clients. These clients include Berkeley Township, Margate City, Bordentown City, Lower Makefield Township, Middletown Township, Upper Gwynedd Township, Catasauqua Borough and Warminster Municipal Authority.
RVE is well versed in working with PADEP to develop a plan of action to reach compliance and avoid fines. RVE will complete an initial assessment of the current status of the MS4 program and then determine, based on available budget, what items can immediately be tackled and create priorities moving forward. These services include creating updated mapping in GIS, performing field verification for stormwater structures, delineating sewersheds and performing pollutant loading calculations for PRP or TMDL plans, determining a multitude of viable proposed BMPs in a menu format to meet and often exceed the reduction requirements to avoid additional public comment periods, advertising for public comment periods, and submitting to PADEP. RVE assists municipalities in long term planning by providing general budget needs and identifying all applicable grant funding to help construct BMPs and maintain the MS4 system.
