Richard Czekanski Retires after 30 Years with RVE

After a storied 45-year career—including the last 30 with RVE— Richard Czekanski, PE, CME, BCEE, Senior Associate, is hanging up the pen and graph pad. Current and former RVE employees gathered to celebrate Rick’s retirement and share their favorite stories from Rick’s career.

Rick held many roles throughout his tenure at RVE and most recently served as Environmental Engineering Department Head. A Board-Certified Environmental Engineer and a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey, Rick worked on a wide range of water/wastewater and environmental engineering projects and served as engineer to multiple Municipal Utility Authority clients. In 2021, the Logan Township Municipal Utilities Authority 0.50 MGD Water Reclamation Facility Expansion project Rick managed received the Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science Awards Grand Prize (Design Category) from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists in a national competition.

We thank Rick for his countless contributions to RVE and wish him all the best in his next ventures, which includes serving as an assistant coach for the Lenape High School Football Team. Good luck Coach Rick!
