The Town of West New York held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the re-opening of the newly renovated Centennial Field, located along the Town’s Hudson River waterfront. RVE provided design and construction management services for the project. Project Manager Paul Cray, PE, PP, CME, Construction Inspector Joshua Kennedy, NICET III, TCC and Keri Castillo from RVE attended the ceremony.
The natural grass field was in need of major field and drainage improvements and new field amenities. General improvements included a new synthetic field turf with the supporting drainage system, new bleacher seating, fencing, customized municipal logo and new striping and state-of-the-art scoreboard.
RVE assisted the Town in obtaining grant funding from the Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund and Hudson County Community Development Block Group (CDBG) programs to replace and reconstruct the existing field.
