The Newark School of Architecture & Interior Design officially opened, welcoming in its first ninth graders, who will become the first graduating class in 2029. RVE began providing Tenant Agent Services at the outset of the project in March 2022. Phase I of the project consisted of exterior repairs and a complete interior renovation converting the existing 135,000 SF building (formerly the St. James Hospital in the East Ward) into a new high school offering concentrations in architecture and skilled trades, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

The RVE Team, led by Construction Managers Keith Kamitian, NICET III and Maryana Maroz, navigated multiple challenges throughout the duration of this complex project in order ensure the school's opening in time for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. Maryana provided an on-site presence throughout the duration of construction, working with multiple contractors to troubleshoot issues and manage the challenges that come with the construction of specialized spaces. RVE’s collaboration with the Newark BOE was pivotal to the success of this project.

RVE will continue to provide Tenant Agent Services throughout Phase II of this project, which consists of a 45,000 SF addition with additional workshops and learning spaces, auditorium and gymnasium.
