SEPTA Lansdale Station Parking Garage

About The Project

RVE was retained to provide owner's representative services, including construction management and building code services, for a new Parking Garage at the SEPTA Station in the Borough of Lansdale. The Lansdale Station is the most frequently used station, as well as for parking, along the Lansdale/ Doylestown Line. With seven new mixed-use and residential developments planned for Lansdale Borough, ridership was expected to increase. Development and background population growth increased the demand for parking at the Lansdale Station. SEPTA constructed a new precast concrete parking garage at the site of the existing surface parking lot at Lansdale Station. This project was intended to increase the parking capacity at the Lansdale Station by 305 spaces. The project also included improvements to the station's Main Street entrance. A pedestrian overpass provides a direct connection to the Madison Avenue Transit Oriented Development (TOD) project. The addition of the pedestrian bridge increases multi-modal circulation and support economic development initiatives in the area. This project was the result of close coordination between RVE, SEPTA, PennDOT and Borough of Lansdale.
