RVE provided preliminary engineering and planning services to the Housing Authority of the City of Hoboken for renovations to Mama Johnson Field. The field was resurfaced through a shared services agreement between the Hoboken City Council and the Hoboken Housing Authority. The feasibility study showed a number of possible upgrades to the field, including a new drainage system, new fence and batting cages to enable the field to accommodate the City’s recreation programs. Three alternate plans were presented to the Housing Authority. The City contributed $600,000 to the project while the Authority was responsible for the remainder, which was a combination of Community Development Block Grants and municipal bonds.
