2022 Emergency Paving Program

About The Project

RVE was retained by the City of Camden to provide project management, construction management and inspection services for the paving of 46 roadways throughout the City of Camden. Since 2020, the City of Camden has made roadway repairs one of its top priorities. The culmination of the City’s efforts led to the 2022 Emergency Paving Program, where the City set a goal of paving 40+ roadways with a “failed” designation. The scope of the project entailed the milling and resurfacing of the existing roadways, hot mix asphalt base repair where needed, reconstruction of inlets and resetting of manholes through the project limits. During the summer of 2022, RVE developed the paving list, managed the project’s completion and provided construction management and inspection services. After installing over 7,000 tons of asphalt, spanning over five miles, RVE successfully completed the project by the milestone date of December 2022. This project significantly increased the quality of infrastructure for the City of Camden’s residents.
