RVE welcomes Jerome Stern, AICP and Michael Davis

Down Arrow

RVE is expanding our Planning and Landscape Architecture Department with the addition of Jerome Stern, AICP and Michael Davis. RVE welcomes Mr. Stern and Mr. Davis to RVE and our Planning and Landscape Architecture Department.

Jerome Stern, AICP, joined RVE this month. He has extensive experience preparing master plans, zoning ordinance revisions, community development studies and environmental assessments, particularly in New Jersey. At RVE, Jerry will focus his efforts on municipal master plan preparation and re-examinations, zoning revisions and related tasks. A resident of the Main Line, Jerry is an active member of the Lower Merion Planning Commission.

Jerry holds an AICP certification–the only nationwide, independent verification of planners’ qualifications. AICP certifies professionals in the United States in the field of Urban planning and assists planners in the areas of ethics, professional development, planning education and the standards of planning practice. Their mastery of the principles, skills, knowledge and experience as determined by the organization is a key tool for the practice of professional planning.

Michael is a recent graduate of Rutgers University’s Urban Planning and Design program. He is beginning his professional career and is working toward obtaining AICP and Professional Planner Licensing. Michael’s focus at RVE is best described as making a positive impact on local communities through smart urban planning principles. He wants to help reshape cities to become safer, more sustainable and convenient. The current form of most cities is focused around the car, and Michael hopes to promote more sustainable forms of transportation down the road. He believes quality urban design can bring people more convenience and happiness in their day to day lives, and this is something developers and cities should be promoting in their projects. Incorporating new technologies to benefit the community is also something that Michael would like to implement in his work.

These two new hires illustrate RVE’s commitment to providing our clients with specialized, up to date services. We have extensive experience providing planning services to communities and public agencies. Each Planner on staff has an individual specialization – ranging from zoning and land use planning to urban design, and transportation planning.
