SEPTA Lansdale Station Parking Garage
Since the Lansdale Station is the most frequently used station on SEPTA’s Lansdale/Doylestown Line, the need for parking was evident. Seven new mixed-use and residential developments have been planned for Lansdale Borough, leading to an increase in ridership, there is a demand for parking.
Due to the development and background population growth increases, the demand for parking at the Lansdale Station led SEPTA to build a new parking garage. RVE was retained to provide owner’s representative services for this new garage project.
SEPTA constructed a new precast concrete parking garage at the site of the existing surface parking lot at the SEPTA Lansdale Station.
This project increased the parking capacity at the Lansdale Station by 305 spaces. In addition, the project also included improvements to the station’s Main Street entrance with a pedestrian overpass providing a direct connection to the Madison Avenue Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Project. The addition of the pedestrian bridge increases multi-modal circulation and supports economic development initiatives in the area. This project was the result of close coordination between SEPTA, PennDOT, and the Borough.
